On 28 November this year, managers and specialists of Regional Waste Management Centres (RWMCs) gathered in Klaipėda for the Artificial Intelligence (AI) training in Klaipėda, hosted by the Lithuanian Association of Regional Waste Management Centres (LRWMC) and the Klaipėda Regional Waste Management Centre (KRWMC).
Roma Budrienė, Director of KRATC, welcomed the participants: ‘We will see how artificial intelligence can help us. I wish you an interesting, useful and informative training!”
During the training “IoT tools and support for RATC”, WHY AI analyst Rokas Stankevičius presented the steps of query design, application of chatbots, processes of personal assistant development and visual communication possibilities. “WHY AI is the first artificial intelligence agency to show practical examples of the use of AI.
Participants tested tools such as ChatGPT, Notebook LLM, Deepl, Ideogram, Leonardo, Heygen, Midjourney, Perplexity and Gamma. The challenge – to use IoT to create a joint product between waste management and any other company – has yielded some of the most unexpected results. Ideas ranged from perfumes made from waste to eco-friendly drinks.
However, R. Stankevičius pointed out that the use of IoT requires staff to remain vigilant. It is important to maintain data confidentiality, i.e. do not upload confidential information to the tools that you do not want to disclose publicly. It is best to set an internal policy in advance, with internal rules and instructions on what and how the tools will be used within the company. Do not blindly believe the answers you get and check the sources.
The knowledge gained will enable the application of IoT tools in the day-to-day operations of RATC – to improve performance, analyse data, provide process improvement solutions and assist in communication.
