About Kaunas Regional Waste Management Center
The main function of the Kaunas Regional Waste Management Centre is to implement and operate a regional waste management system covering waste collection, treatment, recycling and disposal throughout the territory administered by municipalities. The Kaunas Regional Waste Management System operates on the basis of the merger and cooperation of county territories. The aim of this cooperation is to manage waste together.
Waste collection sites
Currently, there are 14 large and hazardous waste reception sites (DGASA) and three green waste sites (GPWS) in Kaunas region. The waste reception sites accept household waste other than municipal waste only from residents! Waste is accepted free of charge.
