Important information on waste reception procedures 

A legal entity wishing to deliver waste to the Lapių Regional Non-Hazardous Waste Landfill (Sąvartos g. 1, Lepšiškių k., Lapių seniūnija, Kauno raj.), Zabieliškio Regional Non-Hazardous Waste Landfill (Liepų g. 16 Zabieliškio k., Kėdainių raj.), or Kaunas Region Green Waste Composting Sites (Nemajūnų g. 15 A, Kaunas, Juozapavos k., Vandžiogalos sen., Kauno r.) must enter into an appropriate waste management agreement with the Kaunas Regional Waste Management Center.

Long-term Agreement

Concluded for a fixed period for the Lapių or Zabieliškio non-hazardous waste landfill, or for the green waste composting site. Legal entities wishing to enter into a long-term agreement for the management of commercial, industrial, and green waste must fill out one of the contract forms and submit it in WORD format via email: info@kaunoratc.lt

Single-use Agreement

Concluded at the Lapių or Zabieliškio Regional Non-Hazardous Waste Landfill when waste is delivered and the waste management service is needed only once, with no need for a long-term landfill waste management agreement. The agreement is formalized by signing the special conditions (waste acceptance declaration). Payment for waste management services is made on-site according to the applicable rates.

Types of Waste Accepted at Landfills

There are 6 municipalities in the Kaunas region that collect and manage waste according to their chosen model.

The Lapių Regional Non-Hazardous Waste Landfill and the Zabieliškio Regional Non-Hazardous Waste Landfill operate in the Kaunas region. Waste is accepted at the regional landfill from residents and business entities according to approved rates.
Currently, there are fifteen bulky and hazardous waste reception sites (DGASA) and three green waste sites in Kaunas region.

At the waste reception sites, household waste other than municipal waste is accepted only from residents! Waste is accepted free of charge.
